  • Sue Cossgrove
    NSW/ACT STATE LEADER:

    BIO

Sue is the new Director of Baptist Women of NSW & ACT, and has a wonderful team to work with. Sue has also been on QLD’s Women’s Leadership in the late1990’s.
Ministry to women for 38years involved the inner city people, families, dysfunctional and recovery church based support groups and general counseling. Leading Bible Studies, working with mums and children in Playtime since 1978, Youth and Girl’s Brigade are still an area of ministry which is enjoyed.
Teaching, Bible Study groups, leading workshops, generally sharing what God has done and can do, is always exciting to me. I have been involved in organizing Retreats for nearly five years now.
Mentoring women to find their full potential in Christ through the Holy Spirit, is a privilege for me.
My passion is to connect women with God and each other, nurturing, encouraging and equipping them.
Bible and topical teaching, as well as outreach is my focus
  • Toni Rehrmann
    NT STATE LEADER
    E-mail:
    ap@dbc.org.au
    Web:

    BIO

Women’s Ministry is part of Toni’s portfolio as Associate pastor at Darwin Baptist Church and it is something that she has been very passionate about for many years now. Over the past few years there has been significant development in our ministry to the women, not only on a one to one and group level, but more recently through women’s conferences for the women of DBC. Toni would like to see the ministry to women at a Conference level, extending to all women across Darwin, particularly the women of our NT Baptist Churches.
Toni believes it is a God-ordained appointment and that it is the right time for Baptist women in the NT to rise up.

  • Christine Pearce
    SA STATE LEADER

    Email:  christine@christinepearce.com
    Web:    http://www.christinepearce.com

    BIO
I have been counseling and coaching men, women, teens and children for ten years. I love it because I like to see the new strength and peace that comes over people when they break through on personal or business issues. I have been married to Colin for 35 years. We have four successful and clever adult children and two wonderful grand children.
I am a registered Teacher and in March 2007 I graduated from the University of South Australia with a Masters in Social Science, majoring in Counselling.
and have been freelancing for 5 years. Upon reflection, my focus shifted from loving children to loving women in the last 15 years.  As the newly appointed SA Baptist Women's State Leader, my first task is to build relationships with women in leadership, gather a team of women who want to serve our state and let God empower his women in the call he has placed on them.
  • Jan Dobson
    TASMANIAN STATE LEADER

    E-mail: jandobson@wynyardtas.com
    Web:    Tasmanian Baptist Women events

    BIO

I have been happily married to John for 44 years. We have three sons and three grandsons (at present). I enjoy being a grandma. Prior to my retirement two years ago I was an early childhood teacher. There were times that I thought about quitting but circumstances always led me to believe that I was where God wanted me to be and doing what He wanted.

Since my marriage I have been involved in the women's activities in our church in some way or other. For the last few I have been involved at the state level. This was something I never ever thought of but I was prompted several times by different people and realized that God was asking me to step out of my comfort zone.  When our boys were young I taught Sunday school was S.S. superintendent for a time and with John was responsible for organizing and running the youth group.

I have always been interested in people and their problems and have undertaken elementary counselor training.  At present in my church I am involved with pastoral care and visitation, particularly of women.
