New National Ministries Director Appointed

Keith Jobberns has been officially appointed as the new National Ministries Director for Australian Baptist Ministries by the recent National Council meeting.

Following the departure of Brian Winslade from this role at the end of March 2011, a National Council task group actively engaged in a candidate search and discernment process, and was unanimous in their recommendation of Keith to the Council. Keith will be located in the offices of NSW Baptist Union, and will assume his new position at the beginning of April 2012. Keith concludes his current role of General Director of Global Interaction in February 2012.

Keith brings a wealth of ministry experience both at a national and international level, and has a sound grasp of working collaboratively with State Unions and the range of associated State and National agencies / ministries. He will be active in relating closely to the various Delegated Bodies of the ABM. He has a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus at local, national and international levels, which is at the heart of the Crossover ministry. He understands
the missional challenges of our contemporary world. Keith has been an active member of the National Council through his role with Global Interaction, and has a solid grasp of the opportunities and challenges of the role he now assumes.
