Baptist World Aid Australia has already disbursed approx. US$100k to various of our Nepali partners in the first few days, to address immediate relief efforts, reported the National Director of BWAA John Hickey. He said, “We have also helped to mobilise expert resources to support our partners in their efforts, and through Integral Alliance support the mobilisation of agencies linking with partners such as United Mission Nepal and International Nepal Fellowship, with specialist medical supplies and services, as well large-scale water, food, sanitation and shelter supplies for distribution.  This will just be the start, as our larger partners are already putting forth proposals for close to US$2 million from a range of major agencies including us, really just focused on the early stages of relief and recovery in their areas of focus.”
