Australia didn’t live up to its financial promise for the broadly successful Millennium Development Goals, so Baptist World Aid’s new report reviews how effective Australia’s commitment is to the Sustainable Development Goals which follow them. Are we being neighbourly enough? Our report says we could do better: we are only ranked 11th/20 of the richest OECD countries.

The first edition of our Global Neighbour Index looks at those Sustainable Development Goals which have most direct potential impact on the vulnerable. We are not considering how Australia is managing domestically, but how well we are helping our less developed neighbours.

This report is designed for leaders, influencers, and advocates in Australia and we hope it will guide discussion, constructive debate, and action.
